About the artist: Ron has been an artist since the age
of 6, scribbling drawings of
dinosaurs, trucks, and wildlife. Growing up in Minnesota, his love for the
outdoors and spending time with his father hunting and fishing has inspired
him to do wildlife art since a young age. He likes to depict a story in each
of his paintings. “The anticipation of what happens next is what motivates
sportsmen to continue on their quest. When an outdoorsman is asked what he
or she enjoys most about the outdoors, it’s all in the experience of being
there. My goal is to create that scene on canvas: seeing the flash of the
whitetail deer as it disappears into the woods, the first glimpse of the big
walleye you have been waiting for your whole life, or the heart-stopping
flush of a ruffed grouse. We need these experiences to release us from our
hectic lifestyles.” Ron was a finalist in the 2000 Minnesota duck stamp
competition, and does a yearly calendar and print of the year for Outdoor
News.
** I will also do custom designs. For example: A painting of a friend with his first big buck, son or daughter with their first fish, cabin scene, etc. |
